Oh, what a night! Monday, October 17th was an exciting one for the Mercury Creative Group crew. Following dinner at Associations North Leadership Conference, our very own Justin M. Bieganek was named the 2016 Allied Volunteer of the Year.

A dedicated supporter of Associations North (formerly MSAE) for the past eight years, Justin’s involvement reached new heights in 2016 as he guided the organization through a strategic rebrand.

The appreciation of Associations North was evident in the comments made by judges and staff regarding Justin:

“The accomplishments of this year’s winner are very visible and unique. They set the tone for the future. Justin and his team went over and above the donated time, energy and creativity to make it all a huge success. A new name was not a part of the plan, but become so while working through the branding process. A brand value proposition, new name, logo and identity system, design guidelines, fresh communications including graphical emails, and the complete redesign of the Focus North newsletter were all included in the brand refresh that Justin helped us develop.

Additionally, Justin was essential in planning and implementing one of Associations North biggest events – our 60th Celebration. Justin has done so much for the future of Associations North – and we appreciate it!”

Justin humbly accepted his award with the following:

“I am honored to receive this award. We all worked hard to make some big changes on a brand level. Kathy, Angela and Sarah, along with the branding committee were invested and dedicated to the brand refresh. As always, change is hard and we encountered some challenges along the way. But the results were well worth it. A new fire has been ignited within the organization and there are more changes to come. It is my hope that when other associations see the impact of the Associations North rebrand, they will feel inspired to reflect upon the current state of their own brand. Thank you and good night.”
